A few information about AEL...

This company was created in the year 1920 as a «société anonyme» (anomymous company).
In a early 30's folder, this is presented as the «La plus ancienne Maison belge spécialisée dans la fabrication des transformateurs basse-fréquence» (the belgian oldest company specialized in low frequency transformers manufacturing). This folder shows only transformers, battery chargers and plate-voltage supplies.
Another folder, from 1935, shows transformers, battery chargers and amplifiers.
And, in a belgian manufacturers list from 1965 («Radio Constructeur et Dépanneur» magazine, november 1965), we still can find this company under the name A.E.L. - Bakisel. Their speciality seems to be changed in bakelite manufacturing... In this 1965 list, this company is not mentioned as a transformer manufacturer.
The adress remains the same from the beginning to the end : 17 - 21 rue Delimborgh, Marcinelle (near Charleroi, west Belgium)
