A new project ! |

Introduction: I reduced the collection and saled a part of my most beautiful radios when I get married, in november 2005. As everything is fine now in my new family life, I restarted the radio hobby. And searched again for radio sets... My wife is really OK with that, even if not really interested. She comes with me everywhere, and sometimes she discover some appliances on the flea-markets! Recently, I found again a lot of parts, radios and appliances. A lot ! I've been obliged to find another place to keep all of that, our house is not big enough! It's several hundreds of radios (tubes and transistors), spare parts and appliances to be stocked. All of this is now in a secured and dry place, no problem. But it's difficult to go there, and now my collection is almost not visible. It's a little bit sad! And then... That's why we have now a new project: creating a small private museum! A radio museum in the french part of Belgium... It's obviously too early to tell when it will be done. Our idea is to find a good and big building, to rent a part and after using a part for the museum. It's also necessary to increase the collection, find specific parts,... All of this needs time and money. I cannot blow the family budget every month! It's also impossible, right now, to say where it will be. I wish to do it in my native town (Verviers, east of Belgium), but ? It will depend where we will find a good building, if it's easy or not to obtain the authorizations,... To say it honestly : we will do this project where we won't have problems to realize it ! It's also too early to tell my ideas of arrangments, organization,... Only a few people know about. This way, i'm now searching again electronics appliances, from the 20's years to the 80's ! See the «I search» page for more details, but mainly : Old radios (tube and transistor), auto-radios, B/W and color TV, video, vintage Hi-Fi, documents,... Of course, I know all of this has a value. Even if I accept donations ! :-) I receive already a lotof things for free, and even very wonderful things! Thanks to donators! But obvioulsly, I also pay a lot of things from my collection.
