Socora... Belgian Do-It-Yourself

The «SOciété des COnstructions RAdio» (SO-CO-RA) was located at Bruxelles (Berchem), rue des Alcyons.

Do-it-yourself boxes were sold under this brand, but also with the names REX and REXOLA before the World War 2. This two names have disappear a little bit before the war, for a reason easy to understand for any Belgian! The brand REXOLA has come back later, at the end of the 60's.

Radios, amps and television sets... Can also be buy in assembled version.

This material was sold by «Radio-Bourse». These distributors have stopped activity in the 70's... Branchs were located at:

Bruxelles : Marché aux Herbes 16 et 18

Antwerpen : Kathelijnevest, 29

Liège : rue Cathédrale, 112

Gent: Vlaanderenstraat, 76

These shops have also sold the Rexola brand for the kits. In 1970, the assembled versions of the appliances were sold under the brand Rexola, and the kit versions under Socora brand... Same factory for two brands!
